Privacy Policy

Our Commitment to Privacy

Extegrity respects the privacy of every visitor to our web site and user of our software. Your privacy is a priority, and we are determined to protect it. This Privacy Policy explains our online and software information practices. It may be changed or updated from time to time. By visiting this website and/or using our software, you accept the practices described in this Policy.

We Don’t Sell Your Contact Information

While using this site, you may choose to submit personal information through email or online forms. We will use this information to process your requests — but we will not intentionally sell, share, or distribute your personal information to third parties, except as required by law or university policy.

Statistics Information

In an effort to gauge server resources and improve our sites, Extegrity collects data about visitor traffic. Here are some examples of the types of data we sometimes collect:

  • Browser type
  • Referring web page (how you found us)
  • Date, time & duration of visit

We do not attempt to personally identify any visitors.

Cookies Used to Preserve Data

Occasionally, some of our sites require the use of cookies (pieces of data passed by your browser to our site). For instance, we may need to show you a notice or notification, but we don’t want to bother you by showing it every time you visit. A browser cookie would help us know you’ve already seen it, and that we don’t need to show it again. If you prefer not to receive cookies, you can turn them off in your browser or set your browser to ask you before accepting new cookies.

Security Programs

We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access, to assist in maintaining data security, and to assist in correctly using the information we collect online. We do not intentionally release personal information gleaned from these programs to others, except as required by law.

Software Operation

Exam4 does not access any data on the laptop other than the data created by the act of taking an exam.

Exam4 blocks access to certain operations during an exam to enforce security policies specified by the law school.

Exam4 monitors activity the student engages in while taking an exam and creates an encrypted log report for evidentiary purposes.

All blocking and monitoring is only in effect during the creation of an exam. The log report and exam content are the only data transmitted from the laptop when the user submits an exam. The reports are only accessed at the express request of the law school exam administrator for purposes of ensuring security compliance.
